It serves at least a third of the market, which translates into almost €1,5 billion in revenue and €37 billion in outstanding loans. The purpose of the Remote Advice Team Easy Banking is to provide Self-Employed and Micro- and SME-Business Clients with personal advice to help them achieve their goals. Specifically, we help clients with a funding need. In addition, the Remote Advice team Easy Banking specialises in working and maintaining relations with Business Intermediaries (Accountants and Financial Advisors) whom are an important liaison between ING and our clients.The teamThe Remote Advice team was setup 3 years ago as part of the Easy Banking department. In those 3 years the team has successfully established itself as an important part of the Business Banking sales organisation and continues to grow its sales volume and service scope with high ambitions.The team consists out of 20 Remote Advisors organised in a team servicing lending requests of up to €250k and a team servicing clients requesting loans of up to €1m via business intermediaries.The roleAs the Head of the Remote Advice Team Easy Banking you passionately lead the remote advisors. Your objective is to make the team realise its ambitious commercial objectives. In addition, you play a key role in the planning and execution of our efforts regarding the further development of the Remote Advice team Easy Banking and the growth ambitions that ING has in the business segment. Next to this you are responsible for the training and development of the advisors in the team as to make the Remote Advice team a source of talent for our broader organisation.Specific responsibilities:
  • You are a commercial leader. Both internally and externally you are a figurehead that motivates and inspires our advisors;
  • Specifically, you give ING a face towards the market for the business intermediaries and maintain strong relations with key franchisors on the intermediary market;
  • You are a sparring partner for the advisors, actively coaching and strengthening their level of professional competence;
  • You take ownership of the commercial and operational objectives of the Remote Advice team, of which is the lending production in the SEM segment (up to €250k) is key;
  • You facilitate optimal collaboration between the Remote Advice team Easy Banking and the Remote Advice team Guided Banking and take an exemplary role in this yourself;
  • You are co-responsible for the E2E performance of our business and ensure good collaboration and relations with other departments in our organisation (e.g. operations, risk, IT);
  • You are part of the lead team of Easy Banking and actively support the other leads and the head of Easy Banking to achieve our broader objectives.
Your talent and experienceYou are a passionate commercial professional with the characteristics of a sales manager. You have a background in Business Banking and have a good understanding of both the digital and human service models. It is important that you are experienced in managing a sales team and can enthuse and inspire your colleagues. You need to be able to think, work and present yourself in a structured way and have a can-do mindset.You have an interest in the trends and innovations in our business and are aware of the developments in our market and the broader economy. Moreover, you can translate these into your work environment in a meaningful way. You are a team player, helping your colleagues to be successful, but also speak up when needed.Specific competences and experience required:
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales with a demonstrable experience in Business Banking and specifically business lending;
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading, managing and developing professionals;
