Join World Fuel’s Marine business as an Energy Transition Executive, where you’ll be at the forefront of helping global shipping and cruise operators navigate the shift to low-carbon fuels and meet evolving environmental regulations.This is a high-impact, forward-looking role that blends strategic thinking, technical insight, and commercial acumen. You’ll help shape the future of marine energy by supporting the development and deployment of alternative fuels—such as biofuels, LNG, methanol, and emerging options like ammonia and hydrogen—while ensuring compliance with key regulations like EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, and IMO decarbonization measures.What You’ll DoStrategic & Commercial Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the Cruise and broader Marine segments.
- Lead research and innovation in low-carbon fuel solutions including FAME, HVO, LNG, methanol, and future fuels.
- Design and support commercial offerings that align fuel availability with emissions targets and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (supply, sustainability, trading) to evaluate sourcing strategies, blending options, and certification schemes (ISCC, RSB).
- Deliver comparative fuel assessments to guide customer decisions on carbon intensity, cost, operational impact, and port availability.
- Create tailored energy transition roadmaps and proposals that reflect each customer’s sustainability goals and operational needs.
- Contribute to business cases for infrastructure investments and strategic port initiatives.
- Act as a key point of contact for customer-facing decarbonization projects.
- Coordinate execution across internal teams including ESG, legal, supply, and operations.
- Track regulatory developments and ensure offerings remain compliant and competitive.
- Maintain CRM data, manage internal trackers, and support bids and tenders.
- Provide actionable insights on maritime regulations (EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, IMO CII/GFI) and their impact on fuel strategies.
- Support emissions modeling, lifecycle carbon assessments, and sustainability documentation.
- Assist ESG and sustainability teams with data inputs and certification processes.
