
Promotion Specialist

- You ensure weekly promotions are delivered on time and within budget, meeting KPIs for sales, margin, and availability of items
- You define weekly promotional goals for Buying teams based on budget and the commercial calendar
- You monitor progress and address inconsistencies with Buying to ensure KPIs are achieved
- You brief the Communication Specialist on weekly promotional communication (offline and online) in close coordination with Brand and Studio Action
- You work closely with the suppliers and agencies related to promotion, brand, and performance
- You collaborate with internal and external partners (eg. DCs and distribution companies) to ensure sales volumes reach consumers on time (both internal as external)
- You chair and prepare the weekly promo meeting. The Promo board consists of Heads of Buying and the Head of Brand & Strategy. Issues and decisions need to be taken to get approval for the weekly promotions and to meet deadlines agreed
- You report on promotional results and effectiveness and make recommendations for the Buying teams
- You provide input on the development of the Commercial Calendar in conjunction with the Commercial Department and Buying and ensure that all activities are planned and executed to deliver the financial budgets
- You ensure all promotions meet the commercial standard (price, surprise, traffic maker, turnover) and the content standards (USP's, pictures, surprise)
- You safeguard adherence to Action's brand guidelines across all touch points
- You proactively contribute to the overall promotional strategy, with currently a strong focus on Promo Digitization
- You deliver key market insights on competitive behaviour and strategies to support decision making Promotion Development Projects
- You lead cross-departmental projects to improve performance based on the agreed roadmap
- You prepare project plans, manage various workstreams, and make sure deadlines are met
- You identify and propose new developments for promo tool and space planning tool
- Implement the agreed developments in the role of business owner
- You deliver simple (easy to apply) and scalable solutions. Has the business knowledge and experience to keep the process simple and comprehensible for all departments involved

- You have your bachelor's degree
- You have a minimum of 5 years' experience within commercial/marketing roles in large (international) retail or consumer goods organizations
- You are commercially driven and are able to help in the transition from paper focus to online focus
- You have experience in using retail and brand models: like using a sales funnel, and brand key;
- Experience in working cross functional, analytical, have a close eye to detail and are able to manage simultaneously different projects with tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch
- A market-based salary based on a 38-hour work week
