Our client is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and deliver advanced design solutions for complex medical device components. In this role, you will interpret intricate engineering requirements and craft innovative solutions that meet high-quality and regulatory standards, often working independently. Your expertise will ensure robust testing, problem resolution across hardware and software, and continuous system optimization, contributing to the development of cutting-edge healthcare technologies.Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex engineering specifications to create optimized design solutions for medical device components.
- Develop and oversee detailed testing plans, procedures, and protocols to validate engineering designs, ensuring compliance with strict quality and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve sophisticated technical issues related to hardware, software, and other system components, minimizing production downtime.
- Evaluate and approve external vendor components and technology solutions, ensuring they align with company quality and performance standards.
- Monitor and assess the reliability and performance of systems and components, leading initiatives to enhance product durability, performance, and user experience.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Present technical findings, design proposals, and project updates clearly and persuasively to senior management and stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Lead efforts to implement best engineering practices, driving process improvements to accelerate product development and time-to-market.
- Incorporate feedback from testing, user insights, and market trends into design refinements to maintain competitive advantage.
- Build effective relationships with internal teams and external partners, demonstrating strong understanding of medical device engineering.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3 years with a Master's degree in system design, hardware engineering, or similar areas.
- Proven ability to interpret complex specifications and deliver innovative design solutions in medical device development.
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly across hardware and software interfaces.
- Experience in designing and validating medical device components and systems.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders and mentoring team members.
