At OT Services we provide IT support to facilitate Fugro’s vessels and field operations, remote operations and processing of Geo-data collected during those operations. Within OT Services, the Deployment team coordinates and executes full scale deployment of IT infrastructure onboard Fugro's marine vessels operating globally. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Senior IT Project Engineer to expand our Deployment team in the Netherlands.As Senior IT Project Engineer, you are responsible for all technical aspects related to the preparation, installation and commissioning of the IT infrastructure and services to a vessel or (offshore) site as per business requirements. You are a flexible, project-driven individual who delivers the functional expertise and technical leadership to provide quality assurance and compliance to Fugro IT standards.Your roleYou support the OT Services Deployment Coordinator to develop the schedule and deliverables for assigned deployment projects;You provide technical input for the scope of work to be completed by subcontractors (VSAT services providers, cabling installation partners) and review the installation and commissioning report to be completed by the subcontractors;You provide guidance to Project and Network Engineer staff during the execution of their work and collect lessons learned;You work closely with the support team, providing all the required deliverables to ensure seamless handover to support;During site visits, you will work closely with the vessel team or assigned business point of contact to clarify IT infrastructure requirements. You will also work closely with the vessel team and assigned on-site resources during installation and commissioning to carry out implementation work according to the installation and commissioning plan and schedule;You create the associated site visit reports and specify the list of required IT infrastructure equipment, licenses and configurations;You manage the purchasing team to source the required IT equipment and arrange shipments. You also manage subcontractors in the execution of their scope of work and the assigned Network Engineer to create the site-specific network design documentation and configure and test the associated network equipment;You coordinate all onsite stakeholders involved in the installation and commissioning of IT infrastructure equipment.Your track recordYou have a degree in Information Technology, engineering or a related field;You have at least 3 years of experience in technical project management;You have all-round experience with the configuration and installation of IT infrastructure hardware, networks and systems;Relevant IT certifications are a plus, for example Microsoft Windows Server, VMWare VCTA/VCP, Cisco CCST/CCNA, ITIL4;You have effective communication skills and are able to communicate at all levels of the organization;You are pro-active, dynamic, dedicated and responsible.
