We are seeking a dynamic Events and Communications Officer on behalf of our client, a well-established international non-profit organization with headquarters in Amsterdam!Key Responsibilities:Event Management & Coordination
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute virtual and in-person events to showcase organizational research, publications, and educational initiatives
  • Manage comprehensive event logistics including venue selection, speaker coordination, and supplier relations
  • Develop and maintain event budgets while negotiating contracts and securing competitive rates
  • Serve as primary liaison for attendees, speakers, and stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle
  • Create detailed event documentation including agendas, briefing materials, and attendee resources
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodation for participants, speakers, and organizational staff
  • Monitor event performance through metrics analysis and participant feedback evaluation
  • Maintain a comprehensive events calendar for strategic long-term planning and proactive management
Digital Platform Management
  • Update and maintain the events section of the organizational website with a focus on user experience optimization
  • Collaborate with external providers and design teams to ensure content accuracy and visual consistency
  • Support ongoing digital transformation projects and platform enhancement initiatives
  • Create engaging visual materials in collaboration with graphic design team members
Communications & Content Support
  • Support communications initiatives through high-quality proofreading, copyediting, and content creation
  • Develop engaging brochures, flyers, publications, and event-related materials for diverse audiences
  • Create content for both digital and print channels ensuring brand consistency and messaging alignment
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all event communications
  • Support internal team-building activities and organizational social events
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years of professional events management experience, preferably in international organizational settings
  • Strong experience with managing online/hybrid/offline events – must be confident with the technical aspects involved in event coordination
  • Bachelor’s degree in event management, communications, or other relevant discipline
  • Near-native English speaker with exceptional grammar and writing capabilities
  • Excellent networking abilities with confidence in building relationships across diverse cultural contexts
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong multitasking capabilities and ability to work independently within collaborative team environments
  • Creative mindset with enthusiasm for exploring innovative event formats and engagement strategies
  • Cultural sensitivity and a diplomatic approach when working with international stakeholders and within multicultural team environments
  • Experience with international organizations or NGOs (highly preferred)

  • 25 days annual leave plus pension scheme
  • Monthly gross salary between €3250-€3500
