
Business Development Manager – Small Molecules

- Manage and grow existing accounts in the small molecules segment, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Drive new client acquisition in two key areas:
- Small Molecule Market: Expand Eurofins' footprint by identifying and winning new accounts for GMP testing and related services, leveraging our reputation as a global leader in quality and compliance.
- Manufacturing Services: Position Eurofins as a trusted partner for Fill & Finish and compounding solutions, targeting clinical trial material, orphan drugs, and small-scale commercial batches.
- Account Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the pharmaceutical market.
- Create and execute detailed account plans to drive retention and incremental growth.
- New Business Development:
- Identify, target, and acquire new clients for Small Molecule GMP testing and Manufacturing Services.
- Execute cold acquisition strategies and lead generation through networking, industry events, and digital channels.
- Build a strong pipeline and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
- Consultative Selling:
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of GMP regulations, small molecule analytics, and manufacturing requirements to provide tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with internal experts to design customized Fill & Finish processes, including sterile filtration and class A/B cleanroom operations.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Operate effectively in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders across at least six business units, ensuring alignment and collaboration to deliver seamless client solutions.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to Eurofins' commercial strategy.
- Represent Eurofins at conferences and industry events to build brand awareness and generate leads.
- M.Sc. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree from a Life Sciences and/or Chemistry University of Applied Sciences (HBO) or equivalent is also considered.
- MBA or Ph.D. is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or account management in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven track record in cold acquisition and account management, ideally in GMP testing and/or CDMO services.
- Strong understanding of GMP regulations and small molecule analytical/manufacturing requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and drive collaboration across multiple teams.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Located in the Netherlands with an active work permit.
