Our client, a market leader in the logistics industry with a strong international footprint, is seeking a Finance Director to play a critical role in shaping financial strategy and driving business performance. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible role where you will work closely with senior management to provide insightful financial analysis, challenge business plans, and ensure robust financial reporting.As Finance Director, you will be at the heart of the company’s financial strategy, ensuring accurate performance reporting and delivering actionable insights that shape business growth.This role is based in the Rotterdam area with the flexibility of hybrid work.TasksKey Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to senior management, providing strategic insights to enhance commercial and operational decision-making on C-Level.
  • Oversee the production of accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring clarity and reliability.
  • Support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including KPI tracking, benchmarking, and trend analysis to drive performance improvements.
  • Challenge business plans and initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities to support sustainable growth.
  • Lead financial reporting and performance management activities, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights.
  • Support business change initiatives, driving efficiency and financial best practices.
Requirements
  • ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified, with a strong academic background.
  • Extensive experience in financial leadership roles, with a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise in performance management, business partnering, and financial planning & analysis. Experience in Logisitcs industry is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, modeling, and presentation skills, with familiarity in Power BI or similar tools being an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence at Board level.
