Location: Amsterdam (hybrid – approx. 50% in office, 50% remote)About the roleAre you an experienced Java DevOps Engineer with a passion for building and operating robust systems? In this role, you’ll join a multidisciplinary, international Agile team that takes ownership of the full development lifecycle: from refining user stories to monitoring production software.You’ll work with modern technologies, actively contribute ideas for improvements, and help deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. At the same time, you’ll share your expertise and coach less experienced team members.What you will doDevelop, maintain, and operate Java applications in a DevOps environmentWork with Kafka, Spring Boot, SQL, and monitoring tools like ELK and GrafanaApply BDD and DDD principles to solution designDesign reusable code components and libraries for multiple projectsTroubleshoot and resolve incidentsParticipate in the on-call rotation (about 1 week every 1–2 months)Foster a learning mindset and coach junior team membersWhat you bringMust-have experience:Java 11+ and Spring Boot (APIs)KafkaSQLMonitoring (ELK, Grafana)Strong knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Domain Driven Design (DDD)Nice-to-have experience:Azure DevOps, Azure PipelinesKubernetes or OpenShiftScala and Akka StreamsDatabases such as Neo4J, Cassandra, ElasticsearchMaster Data ManagementWhat we offerA challenging role within a dynamic, international environmentFlexible working hours (36 hours per week)Hybrid working: 50% remote and 50% in the Amsterdam officeLong-term assignment (12+ months)The opportunity to work with state-of-the-art tools and technologies⚠️ Important: This position is not open for freelancers .
