GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONMapp Digital is looking to build its “Best of Breed” Cloud and Enterprise Marketing applications. We are looking for talented engineers capable of designing, implementing and maintaining a next generation micro-services ecosystem as a part of a cross functional high performing team.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement scalable, secure and high performing SaaS applications aligned with the Mapp business strategy.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional agile teams that include Product Owners, QA Engineers and fellow DevOps Software Engineers to implement the next generation of Mapp applications.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends and industry best practices to hone and maintain your talent.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years developing web applications in a highly transparent agile organization with iterations, continuous integration and a drive for quality.
  • Experience with Java, PHP and/or Go is preferred.
  • Experience with distributed Bigdata systems is preferred (Kafka/Storm/Cassandra/etc).
  • Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge about data structures like BloomFilters and HyperLogLog is proffered.
  • Experience using Google Cloud or AWS to deploy and maintain software applications is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience designing and implementing SaaS highly available, scale-able, secure and multitenant applications.
  • Proven ability to design and implement web services in a RESTful manner, along with understanding or broader service-oriented architectures.
  • Proven ability to work within a cross functional agile team.
  • Musty be a self-starter and able to work well with others in a fast-paced agile environment with an emphasis on collaborating and assisting the team to meet business objectives.
  • Experience in working both a Continuous Integration (CI) as well as a Continuous Delivery (CD) environment.
  • Able to use tools such as JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Puppet/Chef, etc. preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge around online marketing and advertising is preferred.
