- Design, develop, and optimize Power BI semantic data models using star schema, snowflake schema, and best practices.
- Create relationships, hierarchies, calculated columns, and measures in Power BI to support reporting needs.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations that enable decision-making and align with business requirements.
- Implement DAX measures and advanced calculations for KPIs and analytics.
- Apply row-level security (RLS) and governance controls within Power BI datasets.
- Use Python (pandas, PySpark, requests, etc.) for data extraction, cleaning, and transformation to complement Power BI datasets.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline dataset refreshes, data ingestion, or integration with APIs/cloud services.
- Support advanced data modeling workflows by creating Python-based preprocessing pipelines for large/complex datasets.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to build and maintain Python-based ETL/ELT scripts for structured and unstructured data.
- Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Databricks, ADLS, APIs, etc.).
- Ensure data quality and consistency during ingestion and transformation.
- Optimize data models and queries for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to capture requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical data models and BI solutions.
- Document models, datasets, and scripts for transparency and reusability.

- 8-10 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or BI Engineer.
- Strong expertise in data modeling (fact/dimension design, star schema, snowflake).
- Advanced proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M language).
- 3-4 years of experience Python programming skills (pandas, NumPy, PySpark, APIs, automation scripts).
- Experience integrating Power BI with multiple data sources (SQL, cloud storage, APIs).
- Familiarity with performance tuning for Power BI datasets and Python-based data pipelines.
- Knowledge of SQL for querying and transformations.
