Zurich Insurance Benelux is one of the most specialized insurance companies within non-life insurance for local and international business in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg market. We are now looking for an analytical and positive person to join our team as a Pricing Actuary. Already have experience within Pricing? Keep reading!This is a fulltime (parttime is possible, minimum 4 days a week) hybrid role where you can be working from our office in either The Hague in the Netherlands or Brussels in Belgium.Key accountabilitiesAs a Pricing Actuary, your main area of responsibility will be our MGA portfolio. There you can make the difference by ensuring that our pricing is not only competitive but also contributes to a sustainable and profitable portfolio. You will share your profit portfolio insights to all stakeholders, driving improvements in data quality and translate proposition needs into products and pricing. Together, we develop dynamic pricing strategies and models that respond to market developments, customer behavior, and competition. The skills and competencies we are looking for are:
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Knowledge of the actuarial pricing concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics and actuarial modelling
  • Strong programming skills, ideally R
  • Good communication skills and negotiation skills
Qualifications
  • Minimum a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in actuarial science or mathematics/statistics
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pricing Actuary within general insurance
  • Pursuing/holding an actuarial qualification is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus in the Netherlands, Dutch or French are a plus in Belgium
