Summary:Join NIBC as a Model Validator in our diverse, dynamic team. Bring your precision and passion to a vibrant, multicultural environment.Job Description:What will you do?Within Risk Management, the Model Validation team is responsible for three key areas:
  • Validation of Business Critical Models: The team validates all business-critical models within the bank, used for valuation, pricing, or risk assessment, such as IRRBB, IFRS9, and IRB models;
  • Development and Maintenance of Policies and Standards: The team helps develop and maintain the bank’s model risk-related policies and standards.
If you prefer to focus on validation-related activities, you will gain exposure to almost all financial products in the bank through the validation of our most important models. You will interact intensively with all departments, providing support for valuations, pricing, and risk assessments. To do this effectively, you will need to understand the business, which means being in direct contact with the business and other risk teams. ).What do you bring?
  • Educational Background: A completed university degree in a quantitative subject, such as Econometrics, Mathematics or Engineering;
  • Work Experience: About 5 -7 years of hands-on experience in financial model validation or development;
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Practical experience with regulatory requirements like BIS, EBA, CRD, IFRS;
  • Technical Skills: Ability to work with a range of data modelling software, like Excel/VBA, SQL, Matlab, Python or R;
  • Soft Skills: Effective communication and collaboration, attention to detail and a critical approach to other people’s work as well as your own. A good command of written and spoken English is essential;
  • Dutch Residence: While we are offering VISA sponsorship, you will have to be a Dutch resident at the time of application.
