Our client, Jones Kent Ltd is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead their Oosterhout facility and drive commercial growth across the BENELUX region. This dual-function role combines general management responsibilities with strategic sales leadership, representing both their established sugar business and the expanding Jones Kent portfolio of commodity and fruit-based products.The successful candidate will manage their existing sugar distribution operations while developing new business opportunities across sweet and savoury food & beverage applications. This position offers the opportunity to build upon their established depot business serving microbrewers and expand into new market segments.General Management
  • Serve as General Manager of the Oosterhout facility and distribution operations
  • Lead and develop a team of 2 direct reports focused on sales and depot operations
  • Manage day-to-day distribution of products into the BENELUX region
  • Oversee operational efficiency and customer service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards
Sales & Business Development
  • Represent and promote the Jones Kent portfolio of commodity and fruit-based products
  • Maintain and develop the existing sugar and sweeteners business (sugars, dextrose, etc.)
  • Leverage existing customer relationships and networks to drive growth
  • Develop new business opportunities with small and medium-sized entities
  • Build strategic partnerships within the food & beverage industry
  • Coordinate with Scotland-based team for major sugar negotiations
Requirements
  • Extensive commercial experience in B2B sales with demonstrated senior-level responsibility
  • Proven track record in food & beverage industry, preferably in sweet and savoury applications
  • General Management or Managing Director level experience
  • Established customer base and network within BENELUX region
  • Experience working with small and medium-sized clients
Geographic & Networks
  • Strong existing network in Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg
  • Beneficial: Extended network in Germany, Switzerland, and/or France
  • Deep understanding of BENELUX market dynamics
Skills & Competencies
  • Fluent in Dutch (required)
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Leadership experience managing small teams
  • Strategic thinking with operational execution capabilities
