We use state-of-the-art techniques for financial analysis, planning, accounting, reporting and performance evaluation. The Payroll Accounting Specialist cooperates closely with other members of the Entity Controllers Group, with the payroll and HR departments, our Tax department, our business controlling teams located on our site in Boxmeer, as well as with our Business Service Center, the Treasury team and others.Purpose of the roleAs a Payroll Accounting Specialist, you will have a diverse role within the company, providing the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Finance organization and establish valuable partnerships with stakeholders. Reporting to the Associate Director - Entities Finance, you will have a pivotal role in compliance related financial deliverables. You will manage various payroll accounting activities.Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
  • Ensure the monthly payroll interface is processed timely and accurately for our department Animal Health entities operating in the Netherlands.
  • Responsible for cross-border activities on payroll area including recharge approvals.
  • Partner with Dutch Payroll team and other HR departments on payroll accounting related matters.
  • Provide inputs and insights to business controlling teams to support their understanding and analysis on actuals, forecasting and planning of employee expenses.
  • Monthly account reconciliation for all payroll related balances.
  • You will work in a controlled and compliant environment, internal and external audits.
  • Ensure correctness of the entity’s pension positions and prepare and reconcile all contributions made to the company’s Pension Fund.
  • Work with entity controlling teams on payroll related items for statutory reporting based on Dutch Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Your profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 3 - 5 years of experience in this field.
  • You demonstrate the understanding of national and regional accounting laws, regulations and standards and applies them appropriately to ensure the financial integrity of the business and financial statements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
  • Stakeholder focused, resilient and reliable person.
  • Experience with Analytic Data and Prescriptive analytics is a preference.
  • Knowledge on SAP, AFAS, Workday and other systems is a pro.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
