Then this role as operations manager is something for you!You get it doneAs an operations manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations at one of our locations in Venlo. This warehouse is part of the DSV Campus, with more than 220,000 m² and over 1,000 colleagues. Together, we ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently: you're on it.How you do this? You will be responsible for managing a team of three to five direct reports and indirectly for around 200 FTEs. You lead the daily operations and ensure that the logistics processes run efficiently and effectively. You are constantly working on optimizing these processes and improving performance in terms of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.You will have a clear focus on both operational execution and achieving strategic goals. You will identify bottlenecks, analyze them, and come up with practical solutions to ensure smooth operations.Additionally, you are responsible for motivating and developing the team, placing talent in the right positions. You ensure your employees have the right skills and resources to perform their work optimally. With your leadership and coaching, you will create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You achieve this by:
- staying in constant contact with your colleagues and other departments, always being informed about what is going on;
- being able to switch between functional needs and technical solutions, without losing sight of the various interests;
- setting priorities, driving improvement projects, and continuously challenging our services.
- experience in a leadership role, preferably in a logistics environment;
- analytical skills to identify bottlenecks and define solutions or process improvements;
- knowledge of HR tasks such as absenteeism, sustainable employability, reintegration, hiring new colleagues, employee evaluations, and staff development plans;
- proficiency in both Dutch and English.
