SamenvattingEindhoven Automotive Wo Master Detachering via YER Geplaatst in:EngineeringAutomotiveOver deze vacatureYou are responsible for the definition of Functional Safety concepts.De functieWithin the Vehicle Definition department, part of DAF Vehicle Development, we are looking for a talented controls engineer who has in-depth knowledge of Functional Safety. In this role you will play a key part in leading the development of Functional Safety items for future DAF products.You are responsible for the definition of Functional Safety concepts according to ISO26262, captured in deliverables (i.e. Item Definition, HARA, FSC). Also, you will develop a vision and strategy with relation to Functional Safety processes and tools used within the department. You maintain and share your knowledge and knowhow, keeping pace with innovative developments in the automotive domain.You will work extensively within a multidisciplinary team with different stakeholders, such as Control Engineers, Functional Safety Engineers, E/E Architects, Control System Owners, Test Engineers and Suppliers. You cooperate closely with our colleagues of other PACCAR divisions.Over het bedrijfWithin DAF the department of Vehicle Definition is seen as the lead architect of the vehicle. We are responsible for the definition of Control Functions, the Function Architecture and Functional Safety concepts at the beginning of the product development V-cycle. Jouw profiel
  • MSc. or PhD, ideally in Automotive, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering,
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in the automotive domain,
  • Solid foundation in controls engineering and in-depth knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink,
  • Practical experience with and knowledge of Functional Safety ISO26262,
  • Ability to do in-depth risk analyses while maintaining a high level overview,
  • Ability to actively approach different stakeholders and be the connecting element,
  • Fluent in English, effective communication in both verbal and written form is a must.
  • Pre: Experience in with IBM DOORS Next Generation (DNG) tooling.
  • Pre: Certification in the ISO 26262 standard.
