Join us in a world where excellence knows no boundaries!FunctieomschrijvingYou will contribute to USP research projects for a medicine. These medicines are frequently tested on a small scale, with the aim of supporting the production of this product and investigating improvements in this production process. You will also support bioreactor runs with different cell lines and different products.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Setting up reactors
  • Statistical knowledge and familiarity with working with mathematical models and simulations
  • Analysing samples and processing data
  • Cell culture and pre-culture
  • Sampling bioreactors
  • Monitoring the process, followed by harvesting the desired product
  • Analysing data, including processing it in ELNs (Electronic Laboratory Notebooks)
  • Possible additional tasks, such as writing protocols/reports and digitisation.
In this position, you will also be required to work a weekend shift several times per quarter.Functie-eisen
  • A completed bachelor's or master's degree in biotechnology, microbiology, process technology or life sciences
  • Work experience in USP related to cell culture and fermentation
  • Experience with bioreactors is an advantage
  • Experience with HPLC (in the field of biomolecules) is an advantage
  • Experience with Raman is an advantage
  • Affinity with automation/digitisation is an advantage
  • Experience in a GMP environment is an advantage
  • Familiarity with LEAN Six Sigma or DOE techniques for efficient working is an advantage
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
