Are you a HBO/WO data science student looking for a challenging assignment? Can you help Canon Production Printing make their new industrial printers a success?Your assignmentIn a newly developed high-tech industrial printing system, more data is gathered than ever before. This provides opportunities for print quality diagnostics, reliability monitoring and overall health insights. Most of this data is processed by domain experts who designed the machine, but finding correlation between different field or domains remains a major challenge. Especially as more printers enter the field and the amount of usecases increases, a more general scope is required to monitor trends and even predict issues.Your assignment is to work together with the designers and engineers at Canon to design and create dashboards to allow monitoring of a wide variety of signals. Next, the idea is to find trends in the data coming from the engines in the field. What are the key parameters that affect their performance, what unforeseen correlations can be identified and how can they be used to improve the understanding of the printer. With this knowledge, you can help us further improve predictive maintenance, issue responsiveness and eventually the design, making our printers faster and higher quality.Your profile
