ASMTax Manager | AlmerePositionAt their global headquarters in Almere, a new position has arisen for a Tax Manager. The Tax Manager will be part of the Global Tax team, which currently consists of nine professionals, including four based in the Netherlands. In this newly created role, the Tax Manager will support international tax activities across the ASM Group, with a focus to support on day-to-day operational tax matters.This role offers the opportunity to grow into a well-rounded in-house tax professional in one of the world's most innovative and dynamic industries and companies. The work is varied with a focus on international Corporate tax and Tax compliance. The Tax Manager will report to the Head of tax and will work closely together with the (senior) global tax team. You will independently interact regularly with departments such as Finance, Legal, Treasury, and external tax advisors.More specifically, the responsibilities will include:
  • Manage day-to-day tax affairs of the European subsidiaries of the ASM Group, like analyzing new tax legislation, communication with external tax consultants, managing tax audits and inquiries, and tax compliance obligations.
  • Providing international corporate tax support and advise the business, work on global projects and commercial transactions, individually or in project teams
  • Monitoring changes in domestic and international tax legislation and assessing their impact on ASM's tax position.
  • Supporting quarterly and year-end tax reporting processes under IFRS. This includes working on tax reporting and tax transparency initiatives.
  • Contributing to the implementation of Pillar Two and other international tax developments and projects.
CandidateThe ideal candidate is a motivated and international and multicultural minded tax professional, looking to develop further within a listed and fast-growing and fast paced company. You are technically strong, pragmatic, and enjoy a role where you alternate between hands-on tax work and strategic tax thinkingMore specifically:
  • Master's degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience, preferably at a Big 4 or tax law firm. In-house experience is considered a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Dutch and international corporate tax. You understand IFRS / commercial financial data and can analyze its tax implications.
  • Familiarity with tax accounting and reporting, or willingness to learn and develop in this field.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage deadlines.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to continuously learn and improve.
