Our expertise has made a valuable difference for our clients for the past 100+ years, and we are now looking for an External Inspector, who will join our Quality team and will support the business in making a valuable difference in the century to come.What Will You Do?Provide and supervise inspections to ensure compliance with customer, our company and international requirements. This includes verifying the conformity of external parts in line with quality and safety with set laws and regulations, requirements, standards and specifications before delivery. Ensuring the quality compliance of parts before delivery of the parts by the suppliers will reduce the rework on supplied goods and contribute to increase the on-time-delivery.
  • Increase the 1st time right ratio for purchased parts (product and document requirement)
  • Reduce the rework and repair cost for purchased parts
  • Perform inspections timely after readiness notification by the vendors
  • Acquire knowledge on the necessary product specific aspects, and develop or upgrade SOP’s when relevant
  • Where applicable, train QC inspectors from local Chart entities
What do you need to bring?Education Requirements:
  • Technical education: ability to understand technical drawings, purchasing specification and quality requirements
  • Basic knowledge of main production processes for cast and forged parts and of assembly processes
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes
Experience Requirements:
  • Expertise(intermediate or advanced level) in NDE (for casted, forged and machined metallic parts) requirements and relevant certifications.
  • Level 2 / optionally Level 3 Inspector certification.
  • Optional Welding Engineer certification & International Welding Technologist (IWT)
Technical Requirements:
  • Welding Engineer certification & International Welding Technologist (IWT)
  • Expertise in NDE requirements and relevant certifications (European and American standards)
Language Capabilities:
  • English
Mobility & Travel Requirements:
  • 55-60% of the time.
