We are based in Leiden, and you will become part of our closely knit IT team, currently consisting of 3 members. The IT team provides a highly available IT infrastructure and acts as a service desk and knowledge base to end users. As a small team, we are flexible but focused in an ever-changing office and laboratory environment (GxP).What you'll be doing:
- Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support. This includes the overall resolution of all requests, incidents and problems raised onsite in relation to meeting rooms, softwareequipment;
- Maintaining the essentials such as operating systems, business applications, email, PCs, local and wide area networking;
- Ensuring the company's tech environment runs efficiently by troubleshooting hardware and software and liaising with vendors;
- Collaborating daily with several departments outside of IT;
- Assisting in managing cloud services such as Microsoft 365;
- Researching and creating technical solutions for problems;
- Innovating and bringing new ideas to the team on how to approach IT.
Administration and troubleshooting of:
- Technology problems reported by staff;
- Office equipment such as laptops, MacBooks, printers, phones, smartphones;
- Client software installation;
- User access and system access control;
- Hybrid working facilities e.g., Zoom / MS Teams.
- User account administration;
- Assist with the administration of cloud infrastructure;
- Make recommendations for future upgrades.
About you:
- You are MBOHBO student studying ITin any other IT related field;
- You have support and administration experience for office and cloud-based technologiessimilar;
- You have experience with Office 365, Microsoft Active Directory, Teams and Zoom;
- You have good working knowledge of standard office hardware such as laptops, MacBooks and printers;
- You have theoretical and practical knowledge Window OS (10/11), Apple OSX and basic computer/network security.
- You like to keep up to date on new developments in the technology industry and like to take technologies apart;
- You are independent and self-starting, but comfortable to ask for help if needed;
- You have excellent problem solving and multitasking skills, should be a constant learner and able to remain calm when dealing with a problem;
- You may come across confidential business information from time to time which needs to be kept private;
- You have good communication skills including excellent command of Dutch and English (required);
- You're eager to learn and grow.
