OmschrijvingAbout RoetzJoin the circular bike revolution! Roetz is a purpose-driven organization that aims to contribute to a circular and inclusive economy. From our bike factory and headquarters in Amsterdam-Noord, we produce our unique and robust Roetz bikes, refurbish bike fleets for clients such as NS OV-Fiets, Bluebike, and the Dutch National Postcode Lottery. Since the end of 2023, we launched our own circularly designed e-bike, the Roetz Life, the world's first circular e-bike! A smart, modular e-bike with an innovative service concept, shaping the circular transition within the bicycle industryPostitionRoetz is looking for a driven and skilled Senior Planner / Purchaser to strengthen our ambitious and dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for our production planning and procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement and planning processes.Key Responsibilities
  • Translate sales planning into a master production plan (MPS), followed by material requirements and procurement planning
  • Category management of materials and components, differentiating procurement and inventory planning accordingly
  • Work closely with suppliers, build relationships, and identify alternatives where needed
  • Achieve targets and cost reductions
  • Strengthen and professionalize the planning and purchasing function
  • Collaborate with the operations team to identify and resolve bottlenecks, assessing material availability impacts on sales and production planning
  • Potential future leadership of junior procurement staff
ProfileWe are looking for an experienced professional with HBO+ work and thinking level, with at least 5 years of experience in planning and purchasing, preferably in the bicycle industry. Additionally, you are:
  • Intrinsically motivated by Roetz-Bikes' mission
  • Results-driven, energized by negotiation, and enjoy maximizing outcomes
  • Analytical, structured, and an Excel expert
  • Experienced with ERP/MRP software; Odoo is a plus
  • Driven to continuously innovate and improve processes
  • Preferably experienced in international sourcing
  • Socially and communicatively skilled, with strong empathy
