We are looking for a Carpenter with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The desired candidate represents the W lifestyle to our guests and customers.You, like the rest of our ‘talent’ are the soul behind the brand and they bring it to life. You have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. You are able to work with little supervision whilst following all health and safety standards. Moreover, you are required to handle job-related issues and complaints and give professional advice on how to solve them.Main responsibilitiesObserve defects and setting diagnosesStock control; order new parts and equipment in consultation with Chief EngineerReplace fire sealsRepair replace hinges as requiredRepair door hardware, door rubbers, sliding doors & wardrobesSome cabinet building requiredMake timber mouldingsMaintain a safe, clean and efficient work siteInstall locks and lock cases, door closersReplace tiles and minor tiling works as requiredDo maintenance checks building wide on all fire doors and fire rated door equipmentDo window repairs as required, window hardwarePerform daily engineering dutiesGeneral room and public area maintenanceJob RequirementsTechnical MBO study; High school diploma with a successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is requiredProven experience as a carpenterGood knowledge of EnglishProfile
