With our pioneering technologies and a strong history of innovation, we have set industry benchmarks and continue to define the future of smart shipping.Role OverviewWe are now looking for a Senior Service Engineer (m/f/d) Navigation to join our team in Schiedam, The Netherlands. In this position, you will be responsible for commissioning, servicing, and handing over navigation systems to customers within shipbuilding and vessel operation projects. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills, with frequent travel within Europe and occasional global assignments. Key ResponsibilitiesCommission and service the full spectrum of marine navigation systemsPerform system checks of complex equipment and constructions in shipbuilding projectsCarry out commissioning and adjustments in line with customer requirements and warranty obligationsParticipate in sea trials and, when required, accompany vessels as warranty engineerPresent and hand over navigation systems to shipowners, shipyards, and classification societiesConduct repairs and installations, including configuration, parameterization, and related order processing
Key RequirementsDegree or diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g. electronics, automation, navigation) or equivalent practical experienceSeveral years of professional experience in a comparable service/commissioning roleStructured, solution-oriented, and hands-on working styleExcellent social and intercultural communication skillsFluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken)Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally worldwide
