Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to projects through design, engineering, analysis, and verification
  • Lead the design, engineering, and technical coordination of assigned systems, equipment, and packages
  • Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, classifications, standards, and Quality Assurance procedures
  • Review and coordinate technical documentation from third-party suppliers
  • Define and maintain interfaces for the assigned work scope
  • Develop best practices and work standards for continuous improvement
  • Ensure technical compliance of deliverables with system requirements
  • Participate in internal design review meetings with a strong awareness of commercial implications
  • Support specification, design, and setup of AC distribution systems and drive systems
  • Conduct and verify power studies (e.g., harmonics analysis, voltage drop, arc flash, load flow, power swings, protection and coordination)
  • Optimize drive train components (transformers, filters, rectifiers, inverters, motors)
  • Prepare detailed specifications for electrical and drive systems equipment
  • Specify system requirements for auxiliary systems (CCTV, AOL, lighting)
  • Manage interfaces for secondary systems (HVAC, AOL, sliprings, etc.)
  • Provide cable routing guidance to mechanical routing engineers
  • Attend and witness FATs for relevant electrical equipment
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in engineering design and technical coordination
  • Proficiency in performing power studies and electrical system analysis
  • Strong knowledge of AC distribution and drive systems
  • Experience with electrical distribution and drive system specification and optimization
  • Familiarity with auxiliary and secondary system integration
  • Understanding of engineering documentation and project lifecycle processes
