Together, we make Every Moment Matter.Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a HR Manager to join our vibrant team at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam City Center. At RHG, we are in search of individuals who go beyond the resume – those with character, skills, talents, and a passion for creating memorable experiences. The position will work closely with the hotel General Manager, Head of Departments, Area HR colleagues and other key stakeholders to build capabilities, plan and develop talent, and provide recommendations to achieve the organization objectives. The position is operational in nature.The HR Manager is a true generalist and is required to provide strategic and operational functional support to drive the HR agenda in following areas (but not limited to); change management, talent & performance management, succession planning & talent pools, talent & acquisition, compensation & benefits, employee relations, employee engagement, people development, on boarding, training and payroll relations.
  • Ensures the smooth running of the HR department, where all areas of responsibility are managed and delivered to the highest levels.
  • Works proactively to maximize the guest service and the team experience, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.
  • Develops and implements plans where human resources initiatives and hotel targets are achieved.
  • Works with key stakeholders, effectively managing and reviewing the life cycle of the team within the hotel, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance.
  • Owner of the Human Resources budget and training plan, where together with management, facilitates the evaluation of team performance.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders and business partners.
  • Reviews and scrutinizes employee resourcing, compensation, employee development, training and succession plans, providing recommendations that will enhance performance and provide added value to the individual and the company.
  • Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.
  • The position reports directly to the Hotel General Manager and is based on-site at the hotel.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in HR with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • A solid knowledge of Dutch labour law is essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English is required both spoken and written.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.
  • Knowledge of one or more HRIS systems is expected; Workday experience is considered a strong plus.
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations.
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy.
