- Manage and provide leadership to the General Ledger team to ensure compliance with IFRS, financial policies and internal control.
- Provide training and mentoring of General Ledger team individuals.
- Responsible for correct and timely month-end close for the entities under their responsibility.
- Responsible for opening and closing SAP Ledgers monthly.
- Review and approve Balance Sheet reconciliation for all assigned account.
- Review and approve all journal entries submitted by GL accountants.
- Partners with the Tax manager ensuring all local deadlines are met.
- Partners with Accounts Payable manager to obtain monthly AP accruals.
- Perform quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews with Corporate manager and Directors.
- Contribute to prioritization of projects and business improvements.
- Provide analysis to explain monthly results to management and other internal customers.
- Work closely with plant finance managers for monthly entries and provide support and guidance.
- Ensures compliance with statutory, legal and tax requirements.
- Ensures timely reconciliation of FI and COPA.
- Supports local tax audits and statutory government audits.
- Reviews Use and Sales tax monthly and quarterly payments.
- Reviews ABL monthly documentation submitted to Treasury and outside auditors.
- Recommends opportunities for process improvements and responsible for implementation of the agreed improvements
- ERP experience (SAP) is essential.
- 8 or more years working experience in Accounting/Finance preferably in an international shared service center.
- Minimum 5 years of management level experience with consistent track record of achieving or exceeding goals and objectives.
- Experience leading high performing teams.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with an action or solutions oriented mindset.
- Internal reporting for higher management.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong English communication skills - verbal and written. Second language preferred. inclination
- Experience with BPC preferred.

- MBA or CPA preferred.
