
Ops Excellence & Business Systems Analyst

- Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Lead Operational Improvements: Drive logistics and warehouse process improvements focused on throughput, order accuracy, labor efficiency, and ergonomics.
- Lean/Six Sigma Methodologies: Apply Lean tools (5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen) and Six Sigma techniques (DMAIC, control charts) to identify and eliminate waste.
- Benchmarking & Best Practices: Actively research and apply industry-leading practices across internal and 3PL operations to improve service levels and reduce cost.
- Performance Metrics: Design and implement KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy, pick/pack/ship cycle time, on-time delivery, order fill rate), ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Training & Enablement: Deliver training and workshops on Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and warehouse optimization strategies to internal and external teams.
- Warehouse Design & Labor Planning: Optimize warehouse layout and resource deployment using data-driven simulation and throughput analysis.
- Change Management: Lead behavioral and cultural transformation initiatives that support operational excellence and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Business Systems & Data Analysis
- Process Assessment & Systems Optimization: Analyze logistics business processes (receiving, putaway, inventory, picking, packing, shipping) and recommend system-based solutions that increase accuracy and efficiency.
- SAP WMS Expertise: Configure and support SAP Warehouse Management (WMS) processes, including bin management, handling units, and goods movements. ; Collaborate with IT to scope and implement enhancements or changes to WMS logic (e.g., picking strategies, wave planning, automation triggers).
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to define business requirements.; Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications for developers or systems integrators.
- Solution Design & Documentation: Develop process maps, system workflows, and use-case documentation.; Write clear and concise user stories, system change requests, and configuration documents.
- User Training & Change Adoption: Develop and deliver end-user training for system rollouts and updates, including job aids and SOPs.; Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), test script development, and defect tracking.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Partner with operations and IT to ensure data accuracy in WMS and related systems.; Develop and manage dashboards or reports using SAP, Excel, Power BI, or SQL for visibility into logistics KPIs.
- System Implementation & Rollout Support: Participate in cross-site ERP/WMS implementations or upgrades.; Assist with master data migration, go-live planning, and hypercare activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with Planning, Customer Service, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, and Finance to align system configurations with business rules and compliance requirements.; Ensure integration between logistics systems and other modules (MM, IM, SD, and QM) supports end-to-end business processes.

- Interface with Operations, IT, Engineering, and Quality to ensure seamless integration of process and systems improvements.
- Act as a bridge between system developers and operational users to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Maintain effective and cooperative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience w/SAP ECC 6.0 or above
- Operations experience with Logistics and warehouse processes is a must.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer Science with 3 - 6 years industry/ IT experience.
- Demonstrated ability with deployment of productive engineering business applications is a must.
- SAP experience is strongly preferred. In lieu of that will consider other ERP experience.
- MS Project / any other project management software to manage / track projects.
- Smartsheet - working experience

- None specific to physical requirements however, the candidate should be able to walk / stand on the shop floor or warehouse for 1-3 hours, sometime at a stretch to analyze processes and discussing with actual users as needed.
