Alternative locations in the US - Boise, ID and Pasco, WASyngenta, a leader in agricultural innovation, seeks a Global Production Crop Strategist for our legume crops, focusing on garden beans, shell and snap peas. Join our collaborative team to enhance farmer prosperity through cutting-edge seeds and crop protection solutions.You'll oversee global vegetable seed supply, develop production strategies, and manage risks.Key responsibilities include:
  • Creating and implementing global sourcing strategies
  • Leading crop release planning and variety promotions
  • Managing supply for full product life cycles and M&A integrations
  • Conducting data-driven production analysis including cost of goods and gross profit
  • Conducting gap analyses and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting field production teams with agronomic expertise and best practices
  • Ensuring trade compliance, IP security and technology transfer
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of agriculture on a global scale.   • Minimum bachelor’s degree in agriculture / business required
  • Functional knowledge of agronomy and seed production operations preferred
  • Experience in planning and processing plant operations preferred
  • Strong IT & project management skills and experience
  • Fluent in English; Dutch & French are an advantage
  • Financial knowledge & data analytics
  • Global mindset and experience working in a multi-cultural international environment
  • Supply Chain experience in global seed movement preferred
  • Critical success factors include an independent and entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication skills, ability to set a clear vision, End-to-End thinking and at each moment understanding the impact of decisions on ultimate customer satisfaction
Additional Information
  • The preferred location for the position is Enkhuizen, NL, but we could consider candidates in the US, in Boise, ID and Pasco, WA.
  • International travel will be around 20 to 30%
