The (Junior) Business Controller supports the Group Business Controller in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and control. Groenendijk Bedrijfskleding is a full-service supplier of representative workwear, professional footwear and PPE for customers.Intersafe and Groenendijk are looking for a (Junior) Business Controller to join our Finance team in Woerden, the Netherlands.Mission
The (Junior) Business Controller supports the Group Business Controller in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and control. You will play an important role in budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and management reporting, providing financial insights that contribute to the strategic and operational decision-making of the PPE business unit.This role requires a proactive, analytical, and business-minded professional who is eager to develop into a trusted financial partner for management.Main Accountabilities
The responsibilities of this position includes - but may not be limited to -:
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for
Groenendijk and the Safety Business Unit.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with
business objectives.
  • Perform variance analyses on sales, margins, costs, and other KPIs,
highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Provide input for management reporting, ensuring timely and accurate
financial insights.
  • Collaborate with departments and country teams to gather financial and
operational data.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized reporting tools and
dashboards (Excel, Power BI).
  • Ensure proper recording and monitoring of business processes around
revenue, costs, and margins.
  • Support in the implementation of finance-related projects within Groenendijk
and the group.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting
efficiency, and data quality.Qualifications and SkillsThis is an important role within the business and requires a candidate with the highest possible personal and professional standards. The successful candidate will ideally have some or all of the following skills:
  • Education at minimum HBO / Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting,
Business Economics, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Finance, Controlling, or Audit (internship
experience also valued for junior candidates).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid knowledge of Excel; experience with Power BI and ERP systems is an
advantage.
  • Strong interest in management reporting, controlling, and business analysis.
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
  • Proactive, independent, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from finance and other
