Our core business is to work on the ground to build bridges into space, contributing to the success of ambitious missions.The European Space Agency is our biggest client and we provide highly qualified employees to many sites of ESA but mainly for ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we provide a permanent contract with great benefits, a good salary, a relocation package along with genuine support to our employees.On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for a highly skilled Navigation System Engineer (SI&V) to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.What is expected from you:Support all the tasks related to assembly, integration, verification and validation of current and future Navigation Systems, including the definition and support to the execution of specific plans for System functional and performance validation across all the System qualification phases (e.g. RFCT, SCTC, IOT, IOV). This includes the implementation, design updates and validation of new services.This includes:
  • Test and verification of key functionalities of the overall Galileo system, including PRS Navigation and OS-A authentication functions.
  • Definition and coordination of test plans, test cases, and test procedures for system-level testing, including interface testing, functional testing, and system compatibility test campaigns.
  • Support the planning of test campaigns, ensuring alignment with the System Integration and Verification Plan.
  • Preparation of test reports to support the System Qualification Reviews.
  • Monitoring and follow-up on the closure of System Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) resulting from test activities.
  • Ensure proper application of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) within the project organisation.
  • Contribute to project reviews, milestones, and progress meetings.
  • Liaise with system engineering, PA&S, and security teams for coherent integration.
  • Provide technical support to ESA studies and programmes related to navigation.
What you offer:
  • Master's degree / PhD in Telecommunication, Electrical engineering, or equivalent.
  • A very solid background and experience are required in several of the following fields.
  • Global navigation systems, for example, Galileo, GNSS signals, and the associated receiver technologies and standards.
  • Laboratory activities and testing.
  • Galileo PRS receivers and tools.
  • System engineering and related tasks.
  • At least five years of technical experience in a field directly related to the position. In particular, you have:
  • Knowledge and experience of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Knowledge of team collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, or similar).
  • Eligibility for security clearance from your national security administration.
Where:You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency's offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium.
