Job Description:Sensory & Consumer Insights Scientist – Product Performance (CTI Lead)Location: OBL Factory (Oud-Beijerland)Duration: 12-Month contractBrand: Ben’s Original™ & Dolmio™At Mars, we create food that brings people together. As a CTI Lead at our OBL Factory, you’ll be at the heart of product performance for Ben’s Original™ and Dolmio™ shaping products that delight consumers and set the standard for taste, quality, and innovation.Your roleYou’ll lead sensory and consumer research that informs product development and drives insight-led decisions across our Foods category. You’ll partner with R&D, Marketing, Consumer Insights, and external agencies to turn consumer feedback into actionable strategies, ensuring every product lives up to the trust our consumers place in Ben’s Original™ and Dolmio™.What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Lead sensory and consumer studies, turning insights into clear product guidance.
  • Provide methodological leadership for Product Design teams, from experimental design to data analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for impactful product claims and validate them with consumers.
  • Collaborate across internal teams and external partners to ensure insights drive innovation and renovation.
  • Travel to key markets when needed to lead research and champion the consumer voice.
What are we looking for?
  • Degree in Product Development, Sensory Science, Consumer Science, Consumer Research or equivalent
  • 7+ years' experience in product development and/ or sensory and consumer science
  • Proven track record of building collaborative external business relationships
  • Project management and stakeholder management
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Individual contributor with the need to be able to influence without positional authority.
  • Ability to collaborate with the R&D community (Renovation, Innovation, Science & Technology, Quality & Food Safety, Science & Regulatory Affairs), Consumer Insights (Global & Regional), Commercial and Marketing teams where relevant.
  • Partnering both internally and externally (with sensory and consumer research agencies) to deliver key product insights through sensory evaluations.
  • Ability to travel to our key markets to lead consumer research
  • Core member of the R&D Team, reporting to the Global CTI Lead.
