Contract Duration: To be determinedAUDIT COMMITTEECall for Expression of Interest for three Independent Members to the Audit Committee of the International Criminal CourtThe Audit Committee of the International Criminal Court (“the Court”) has the mandate to assist the Court in meeting States Parties' demands for transparency and accountability by providing oversight of its management practices in key governance areas, including Ethics; Governance structure; Risk management; Internal control framework; Internal Audit activity; External assurance providers; Management action plans; and Financial statements and public accountability reports.The Audit Committee is seeking to fill three vacant seats of Independent members, starting on 1 January 2026.The Audit Committee meets twice a year at the seat of the Court in The Hague, The Netherlands at dates that are decided by the Audit Committee. Membership is on a pro-bono basis and may not be considered as an offer of employment. Travel and accommodation expenses incurred by the members of the Audit Committee are covered from the Audit Committee's budget. The Committee is composed of five Independent members who may not serve more than two terms, each term of three years.The Secretariat of the Assembly of States Parties invites individuals from among nationals of States Parties to the Rome Statute to submit their expression of interest for the Independent members of the Audit Committee. Qualified candidates must demonstrate senior-level management experience in at least three of the following areas: finance and accounting, internal and external auditing, risk management, regulatory compliance, legal, IT and cybersecurity and environmental, social, and governance reporting. Experience working in an international organization is highly desirable. Experienced candidates must be fluent in at least one of the working languages of the Court (English/ French).The Selection Panel will select the most suitable candidates based on their skills and experience. - In accordance with the Rome Statute, the ICC is committed to achieving geographical representation and gender equality within its staff as well as representation of the principal legal systems of the world (legal positions). Nationals from t are strongly encouraged to apply. In addition, applications from women are strongly encouraged for senior positions at the Professional (P) and Director (D) levels. Posts shall be filled preferably by a national of a State Party to the ICC Statute, or of a State which has signed and is engaged in the ratification process or which is engaged in the accession process, but nationals from non-state parties may also be considered, as appropriate.- The selected candidate will be subject to a process in accordance with the ICC policy. The PSC process will include but is not limited to, verification of the information provided in the personal history form and a criminal record check. All candidates should be in a positon to submit electronic copy of their passport and all diplomas listed on their profile when requested;
