The role
This is a unique opportunity for a bright and driven Decision Modeling Analyst to be part of our in-house Data Science team, which consists of dedicated decision behavior modelers. Your main clients are leading management consulting firms like McKinsey and BCG, with whom you will partner to help build advanced conjoint-based forecasting models. In this position, you will build up your methodological knowledge and technical skills quickly due to the variety and complexity of the modeling approaches. We operate in an entrepreneurial environment which requires a self-motivated individual who is not afraid to take the lead.Specifically, you will learn:
- Methodological consulting: thinking along with clients on the appropriate research methodology to answer their business questions
- Survey scripting: programming surveys in our dedicated software (Sawtooth software) and using HTML/JavaScript/CSS/Perl to improve survey layouts for higher respondent engagement
- Coding and programming: creating the statistical designs for the conjoint exercises using our in-house developed tools
- Data preparation and modeling: cleaning and recoding data, and running predictive modeling estimations
- Dashboarding: migrating conjoint utility outputs into market simulation tools and performing output quality checks
The ideal candidate is a dedicated, smart and enthusiastic team player. Typically, we are looking for someone with the following profile:
- Minimum Master's degree in the areas of: Econometrics, Business Economics, Mathematics or any other related study
- We seek someone with 0-2 years of professional experience ranging from relevant internships (which utilize analytical/logic skills) to work experience (preferably in market research, marketing or management consulting firms). Note: having no professional experience is not a disadvantage
- Strong interest in coding and modeling
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Technical proficiency in R is a must, proficiency in Excel is preferred
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
- Strong critical thinking abilities
- Proactive attitude expressed in extracurricular activities
- Internationally-minded
- Ability to quickly adapt to a complex, dynamic environment
