You understand exactly how our customers (advisors, employers, and participants) behave, what they need, and what motivates them—because you conduct extensive analyses and observations. This helps us create the most optimal customer journeys, ensuring our customers feel truly supported.What you are going to doYou put the customer experience at the center to get to the heart of their needs. You conduct both qualitative and quantitative research, such as interviews, usability tests, surveys, and data analysis. You critically assess which research approach best fits the question at hand. Sometimes the question comes to you, and other times you identify it yourself. You help organize design sprints and advise on implementing research insights into UX design.You’ll be part of the Data & Intelligence team within Marketing for the Life & Pensions business unit. This team includes a manager and six specialists in data analysis, market research, PowerBI reporting, CRM, and AI. You’ll work closely with the Lead User Experience Design and three UX Designers to center customer needs and create valuable solutions. You’ll also collaborate with colleagues in marketing, communications, and propositions to ensure smooth customer journeys. Thanks to your work, colleagues gain insight into the success potential of their (partial) solutions—are they truly user-friendly and accessible? Together with the Pension Marketing team, you’ll turn insights into opportunities for the organization, genuinely helping your colleagues move forward.
  • Initiate customer and user research to uncover and prioritize underlying opportunities or issues. You also support colleagues in conducting customer research (with guidance)
  • Create research proposals and test plans and know how to engage others in them
  • Link research to daily practice and collaborate with the business
  • Independently conduct both qualitative and quantitative research (e.g., interviews, usability tests, surveys, and data analysis)
  • Create personas and scenarios based on research data for different user types and interactions with our products and services
  • Compile complete reports with clear recommendations and present insights clearly to colleagues
  • Gather relevant signals from customer feedback and actively share them with the team
  • Act as a research ambassador—sharing your knowledge internally and externally to inspire others

Who you areWith your entrepreneurial and innovative mindset and energy, you get things done. You also have:
  • At least 8 years of experience in customer and/or user research (preferably in a commercial setting)
  • A research background, such as a completed university degree (e.g., in Statistics, Psychology, or Human-Computer Interaction)
  • Strong collaboration skills to turn research insights into opportunities with your team and stakeholders
  • Experience in creating (online) questionnaires and interview guides, and you excel at conducting interviews
  • Experience organizing and facilitating design sprints
  • Empathy that allows you to focus on what the customer experiences, feels, and needs
  • Experience with (statistical) analysis using tools like Python, R, or SPSS
  • Experience with PowerBI dashboards and UX design tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of the pension and life insurance market and experience or affinity with B2B or B2B2C and business research is a plus
  • You communicate effortlessly in Dutch, both spoken and written, at a C2 level
