- As part of Datamaran’s Leadership Team, contribute to guiding principles of the business including vision and strategic direction
- Develop Datamaran’s profile as Category Leader: Plan, create and implement engaging, compelling, highly shareable content - written, audio, and video - that tells our story to raise awareness, inspire support, drive audience development, and grow/engage our audience and member base
- Take ownership of Demand Generation. Implement a data-driven marketing strategy to build market awareness and interest in Datamaran’s products and services to deliver long-term client engagement: acquisition, retention, and advocacy across all channels
- Own the departmental budget to oversee and lead all marketing, communications, PR, events, campaigns and initiatives. Identify opportunities to capture new segments
- Deliver annual marketing strategy and plan with team inputs and insights. Ensure alignment Datamaran’s vision and strategic growth plan across all departments
- Conduct regular business reviews for the leadership team, offering marketing insights including but not limited to competitive industry activity and opportunities
- Perform regular analysis of key metrics for data extraction, management, and insights to provide an accurate depiction of market + sales impact to leadership
- Elevate the client acquisition practices with the team including technical sophistication and experimentation with new technologies
- Continual improvement, developing and implementing new programs and initiatives to deliver client value
- Drive conversion of prospects to active clients through funnel optimisation
- Push strategic direction for the marketing operations aligned with product offerings, campaigns, and branding efforts in the short and long term
- Deliver breakthrough ideas, innovation and leadership to deliver a comprehensive go-to-market plan for net new clients via all relevant mediums and channels (e.g. digital campaigns, online/live events, paid, 3rd party channels, social media, organic)
- Define integrated, effective campaigns and programs - internally and externally - to meet business revenue and client acquisition goals with sales, product, and CS
- Improve and apply best practice to ensure program success, making impactful programs globally visible and available with measurable outcomes
- Create and execute an annual integrated digital marketing & communications plan reflecting a deep understanding of both traditional and innovative digital marketing and engagement tactics utilising the emerging trends in social media engagement
- Build and maintain positive working relationships across all internal teams, leaders and partners
- Work in close collaboration with Sales to support the creation of scalable and sustainable go-to-market strategies and support sales enablement tools and account based marketing
- Effective collaboration with Datamaran’s internal ESG Expert Team
- Evaluate and report on the progress and effectiveness of the marketing and communications strategy to the senior leadership team and functional business units
- Manage and develop relationships with external marketing partners
- Hands-on position, comfortable dealing with the high-level strategy as well operating tactically
- Travel to trade-shows, industry conferences and leadership/department events/summits
- Provide effective leadership for the marketing and communications team to ensure it functions in a collaborative, inclusive and productive fashion that supports the company's core values and strengthens its culture. Identify team efficiencies and growth opportunities as Datamaran continues to scale
- Provide progressive management and empathetic leadership to direct and indirect reports, focusing on effective collaboration within an integrated team environment
- Manage direct reports' performance and career advancement, as well as lead their professional development, training, and mentoring
- Dedicate sufficient time to developing staff and creating opportunities for team members to operate at a higher impact level to ensure the successful deliverability of targeted outcomes
- Develop a teamwork over ego culture of winning together
- Minimum 12+ years of successful B2B marketing experience in a SaaS, Enterprise Software, Cloud environment
- 5+ years management with a demonstrable track record of cohesive team building and leadership at Director and/or VP level together with experience as a CMO
- Experience in high-growth, dynamic scale-up environments, taking a company from 10m to 100m ARR
- Strategic mindset with willingness to be hands-on implementing programs
- Understanding of how to engage C-Level audiences
- Track record of effectively executing integrated, streamlined marketing programs with a compelling message to drive pipeline across territories and verticals
- Successful implementation of effective B2B Social Media programs
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, with the capacity to cut through and craft Datamaran’s messaging to be directly relevant and engaging to specific audiences
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to lead and work with senior executives across the business
- Empathetic, collaborative, leadership with a focus on facilitating outcomes with a team
- Analytical marketing mindset and proven success leveraging and optimising data to grow marketing channels in a highly competitive industry
- Exceptional interpersonal skills. Innate strength in relationship-building with the ability to convince, empower, motivate and encourage continual improvement
- Proven track record of building, leading, and managing integrated campaigns across multiple channels including web, social, email, as well as in-person events and other activities
- Experience in digital marketing, with a strong understanding of lead generation, account-based marketing, buyer journey nurturing, and client acquisition
- Expertise in SEO, paid digital, marketing operation, brand building, and data & analytics
- Both traditional and digital media buying concepts and processes experience
- Experience developing, managing, and growing a brand
- Success in OKR working with accountability, measure key outcomes
- Business-level+ English language, with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills to address audiences of varying seniority and relevance
- Experience with marketing automation tools, specifically HubSpot, and Salesforce CRM
- Successful background in global companies, distributed teams and remote working
