We are hiring a Sales Manager to focus on the southern part of The Netherlands, with extensive Freight Forwarding experience. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a Book of Business within the branch's geographical reach by implementing the company's commercial strategies and products, with the aim of accelerating growth. We are looking for someone to either join our Rotterdam or Amsterdam office, but will focus on the Noord Brabant and Limburg provinces.How You Will Contribute
- Manage a Book of Business, ensuring consistent growth in volume, revenue, and margin.
- Collaborate with branch operations to ensure customized SOPs that align with client needs.
- Support clients with day-to-day requests related to export/import quotations and negotiations to facilitate successful opportunity closure.
- Coordinate with DP World's internal network and external partners to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Use the CRM system daily to manage your personal pipeline and record activities that support the Field Sales Incentive Scheme.
- A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Solid and proven experience in the Freight Forwarding industry. Air and Ocean are a must, Road is a plus.
- Ability to research, identify, pursue, grow, and close business opportunities with support from product and operations teams.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for engaging with clients, carriers, forwarders, and vendors.
- Excellent command of English; Dutch is a plus (written and spoken). Additional languages are an advantage.
