You will report directly to the Expertise Team Lead, however you will also be closely working together with the project scientist(s), who oversee the preclinical research strategy for new antibody products. You will be responsible for a broad set of in vitro experiments to study the mechanism of action of our antibody products. In addition, your experiments will contribute to indication prioritization and identification of biomarkers. Thereby, you contribute to identifying the optimal translational strategy to test our antibody products in the clinic. Frequently used techniques are multicolour flow cytometry, cell culture, functional cellular assays, life cell imaging, and immunoassays.The Senior Research Associate, Translational Research (TR), is a member of the TR team, which is embedded in the global Translational & Quantitative Science (T&QS) department. The TR team specifically focusses on preclinical and translational research for novel antibody products in preclinical development and the early stages of clinical development.ResponsibilitiesProactively work in a team of Research Associates on various projects to ensure timely delivery of preclinical study results.Provide guidance/be a mentor for (junior) Research AssociatesIndependently lead the design, planning, and timely execution of experiments in assigned preclinical research studies, with your up-to-date knowledge and extensive experience with techniques in the field of immuno-oncology and cell biologyTake initiative to shape the preclinical research strategy by proposing and designing follow-up experiments based on emerging data and staying abreast of relevant literature.Document, process, and analyze experimental results in a timely manner; draw valid conclusions, contextualize findings based on how they inform the preclinical & wider translational strategy, and present these insights to the wider project team.Lead assay development, optimization, and implementation effortsSupport automatization and E-Systems developmentSet high quality standards and take initiatives to improve the teams and your own workRequirementsYou have completed HLO education or equivalent in a relevant life science subject with
4 years lab experience in industry or academia.You have deep knowledge of and hands-on experience in immuno-oncology and its techniques, particular multicolour flow cytometry, cell culture/functional cellular assays, and immunoassays.You are precise and efficient in the execution of experiments and documentation of results; you take ownership in data analysis and interpretation.You are enthusiastic and goal-oriented, you communicate openly, enjoy working in a team and can adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.You take initiative, set high quality standards, are motivated to expand your knowledge and skills, and contribute to various projects.You are capable of independently planning, designing, and running experiments in parallel with limited supervision, you can work in a flexible way, while adapting to tight timelinesYou are fluent in English.About You
