The Housekeeping Supervisor at the Catalonia Vondel Hotel is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure the cleanliness, order, and attractiveness of our guest rooms and public areas, reflecting the high standards of the Catalonia brand. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting completed work, and maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment specific to the hotel's needs.Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff at the Catalonia Vondel Hotel.
  • Assign daily tasks and inspect completed work to ensure it meets the hotel's standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Train new housekeeping employees on Catalonia Vondel Hotel’s specific cleaning techniques, procedures, and brand standards.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering as needed to ensure adequate stock levels for the hotel.
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation policies, adhering to the hotel’s health and safety guidelines.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, considering occupancy levels and special events at the Catalonia Vondel Hotel.
  • Evaluate employee performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews in line with hotel policies.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate departments.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within a hotel environment
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems and software is an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the hotel's operational needs
