
HR Officer (Part-time)

- Play a key role in recruitment - you'll be responsible for sourcing and pre-selecting candidates for VONQ's open positions. You will co-own the end-to-end recruitment & selection process and make sure every candidate-journey is as smooth and personal as it can be.
- Partner with our HR Coordinator to manage and execute core HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and contract management. Oversee and support - be the backup for - other key HR Services areas when needed, e.g. illness & leave registration.
- Help maintain accurate HR systems and employee data (Personio), ensuring smooth processes, compliance, and sharp data quality.
- Control payroll input, documentation, and reporting in close collaboration with Finance.
- Provide hands-on support to HR Business Partners on a variety of people-related initiatives (e.g., internal communications, documentation, performance processes).
- Review, update, and uphold HR policies to ensure they are compliant, aligned with our ever-evolving company culture and business needs, and well communicated.
- Help bring our company culture to life - occasionally help out with day-to-day office/facilities coordination, especially at our HQ in Rotterdam. Think of contact with suppliers, facilitating small events, and other engagement initiatives that make VONQ a great place to work.
- Spot opportunities to improve how we work and help implement smarter, more efficient HR processes as we scale.
- 3+ years of experience in HR operations, administration, or generalist roles - ideally in an international scale-up environment, or a corporate environment with a clear desire to work in a scale-up environment.
- A solid basis of HR operations processes, including common Dutch labor law and HR compliance practices.
- You're detail-oriented and tech-savvy: you enjoy working with tools like Personio and Google Workspace, and love a well-maintained HR system.
- You're proactive, organised, and solutions-focused. You don't just spot issues - you take ownership and fix them, while giving timely updates and flagging risks.
- You have a warm and professional communication style. People know they can trust you to be both discreet and approachable.
- You're fluent in Dutch and English - essential in our HR Operations sub-team.
- You care deeply about the employee experience and bring positive energy to your work. Whether it's data, processes, or helping someone on their first day, you make things better.
- Location: Rotterdam (hybrid: 2 days/week in-office)
- Hours: 20-24 per week
- Start date: Ideally September 2025
- Type of contract: 1 year, with the intention to extend
