Reporting to the Manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in the Netherlands and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Funds and its' growth.Our opportunity for youWe have an exciting opportunity as a Medior Financial Services Accountant for our largest Private Equity client portfolio.ScopeVistra is looking to recruit a Financial Services Accountant. You will deliver accounting services and advice to Venture Capital and Private Equity (VC/PE) structures and Managers. This sector specific Accounting Team consists of 10 accountants and a manager.You will perform Fund accounting, which includes Investor reporting, creating capital calls and distributions, making Waterfall calculations, the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and disclosures. You will assist on tax matters and will also be ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting standards and you are producing client customised interim reports. Finally, you will provide assistance to the Fund manager to keep the structure in good financial and legal standing with the assistance of the Legal and Compliance team and with the backup of our Centre of Excellence. As a Junior Financial Services Accountant, pro-active guidance will be available when starting out.Key responsibilities
  • Review Financial Statements;
  • Review bookkeeping (accruals, interest calculations, sales entries, movements in investment property, lease incentives, intangibles, service charges reconciliations according to Dutch GAAP but also US GAAP principle);
  • Review the distributions and capital contribution requests;
  • Review the cash flow statements;
  • Review (and preparation) of Client specific monthly reporting;
  • Prepare and coordinate the CIT & VAT returns;
  • Prepare the audit file and provide the assistance with statutory audits;
  • Follow up, and coordination on client specific accounting requests.
Attributes & Skills
  • Expert level of Dutch GAAP, knowledge of IFRS is preferred;
  • Excellent verbal and written Dutch and English communication skills;
  • You are pro-active, focused on quality, persuasive and you have great advisory skills.
Relevant experienceAt least 1-3 years of relevant experience (audit or accounting).Education/Professional Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance (e.g..
