Please visit our website:Job DescriptionTo perform the supporting role to the Commission Manager, taking responsibility for key tasks, often with respect to large or complex commissions. To support in acting as the day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added cost management services.Cost Managers support on commissions of varying sizes, depending upon the complexity of the project, etc.Key accountabilitiesService Delivery (Client Experience)
- Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
- Applying Value Management techniques at the outset of a project and where appropriate involving Turner & Townsend's specialist Value Management team
- Estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan
- Procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively
- Effective change control
- Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively
- Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports
- Value engineering
- Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed
- Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
- Support the development of allocated sector/service/client marketing action plans
- Provide and update contact and lead information for incorporation onto the database
- Maintain client care activity for your commissions
- Produce / maintain case studies for commissions under your control
- Identifying cross selling opportunities with current clients
- Identifying new opportunities with current clients
- Support new bids
- Support Group marketing initiatives
- Participate in Turner & Townsend health, safety and wellbeing related initiatives.
- Conform to local and national laws and guidelines, observing all safety regulations.
- Conform to the Turner & Townsend Europe Limited (Energy) safety and security regulations and/ or Turner & Townsend Europe Limited (Netherlands branch) ISO45001 safety and security regulations.
- Commitment to implementation of the Risk - Assessment and Evaluation (Dutch legislation ArboWET, RI&E) policy/ procedure.
- Coach/ mentor/ line manage staff as agreed.
- Maintain personal Learning & Development (L&D) plan, including the development of professional competency level to agreed targets.
- Timely participation and completion of all mandatory training courses and those additionally identified in your L&D plan.
- Maintain (including regular updates ie. on the completion of a commission or at least once per year) personal CV via T2 People Pages.
- Participate in Turner & Townsend CR related initiatives.
