The Sr. Manager, International Communication, plays a critical role on the Communication team, leading organizational communication related to critical project and process work that will drive the company’s strategy. This role will lead communication efforts for our international teams, partnering with international leaders to set the communication strategy and standards for these important markets in alignment with our global communication priorities.You will become a part of the Lamb Weston Global Communication team and report directly to Sr. Director, Communication. This role is based in Breda.What do you do?
  • Build strategic relationships with VP HR International, the President International and regional business leads for international markets to understand their communication needs, internal and external, and create communication strategies that enhance their success.
  • Partner with the Communication team and broader HR organization to connect employees with Lamb Weston’s corporate culture and vision and ensure one common voice for the company while ensuring the consideration of regional and cultural nuance.
  • Build and maintain an understanding of the company’s content and channels to deploy communication materials effectively to international internal audiences. Bring expertise to internal business partners to counsel them on internal tools like teams, sharepoint etc. as well as external channels establishing the business cases for using them.
  • Create and execute communication plans and programs with data-focused success metrics.
  • Provide communication counsel to business partners within the organization, further establishing the communication team as an essential resource for company success.
  • Serve as a crisis communication expert for issues and crisis management related to our international business. Provide effective reputation management counsel to the Crisis Management Team and executive leaders for internal and external communication needs.
  • Establish clear reputation management priorities for the business, designing and implementing in-market earned media strategies that support the company’s priorities. Responsible for handling incoming media inquiries related to our international business in alignment with the company’s reputation strategy.
  • Effectively manage department resources and budget to deliver high quality work on time and within budget.
  • Up to 20% travel may be required

This role also drives reputationmanagement as a critical member of the Crisis Management Team.
  • Bachelor's / Master Degree in Communication
  • 7-10 years working in a communication role with accountability for internal and external communication.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic, multi-channel communication plans and programs
  • Experience working for a global company, addressing unique communication needs for international markets
  • Stakeholder management and ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills. Ability to simplify complex concepts into readily understandable language and engaging storylines
  • Prior experience pitching and placing earned media stories; understanding of media relations strategies and tactics
  • Experience with reputation management, specifically crisis response
  • Experience partnering with and managing outside agencies
  • Fluency required in English. Fluency in Spanish, Chinese a plus.
