If so, this is a rare opportunity to shape HSSE strategy at the highest level across a diverse international portfolio.About the RoleWe’re looking for a Group HSSE Director to lead the HSSE agenda across multiple operations in a fast-paced, high-risk industry. You’ll work directly with senior leadership and boards to set strategic direction, drive compliance, and build a proactive safety culture. This is a senior leadership position requiring a balance of vision, influence, and hands-on execution.What You’ll DoChampion a Group-wide HSSE strategy, aligned with internal standards, regulatory expectations, and stakeholder priorities.
Lead on risk management, regulatory compliance, and crisis response across diverse operations.
Partner with terminal/site leaders to enhance safety performance, incident management, and continuous improvement.
Establish strong HSSE reporting structures, promote accountability, and drive meaningful, data-informed actions.
Foster an engaged and collaborative HSSE leadership community across the organization.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board and Executive Team on emerging risks and long-term planning.What You Bring10+ years in senior HSSE leadership roles within high-risk industries (e.g. heavy industry, logistics, maritime, energy, chemicals).
Proven success in navigating complex regulatory environments and securing operational licenses or permits.
Strategic leadership experience at group or multi-site level, with a track record of transforming safety cultures.
Strong knowledge of incident response, root cause analysis, and implementing long-term corrective action.
A collaborative mindset, with excellent influencing, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Fluency in English & Dutch
