You’ll work closely with management and operations to drive decisions regarding process engineering and methods, striving to produce comprehensive processes, operational efficiencies, and alignment with production goals. Your effective communication skills will be key as you interact with both internal and external customers.You will be responsible for:
- You will take ownership of Operations unit objectives, including the introduction of new production processes and systems, while ensuring the smooth, validated, and compliant operation of existing chromatography-based processes.
- You’ll supervise and continuously assess process performance, ensuring it operates within regulatory limits and delivers expected output and yield. You’ll work multi-functionally to develop improvement strategies that reduce downtime and operational losses.
- You’ll lead data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts to support continuous improvement, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain inspection readiness. You’ll also engage in Continuous Process Verification (CPV) activities by providing insights and performing investigations.
- You’ll serve as the domain expert for chromatography operations, driving process improvements, conducting Product Impact Assessments and Change Controls, supporting audits, and leading Gemba walks to identify and implement sustainable improvements in safety, quality, and performance.
- A relevant University degree or combined with extensive experience within Bio process engineering required alongside full professional proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus)
- Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of chromatography is required.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, routine proficiency in data analysis, and specialist proficiency in business applications.
- A positive demeanour, proactivity, decisiveness, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to handle complexity, ask questions, use data, identify gaps and root causes of issues, and think creatively to develop solutions.
- Stress-resilience, maintaining calm under all circumstances, flexibility, and the ability to handle changing priorities.
