Therefore, we're looking for several Senior Data Science Associates to join our us! This is a highly collaborative role within the Discovery Data Science team which is embedded in the Discovery research department. This is the perfect role for young professionals who want to make a step towards industry.You will work in a multidisciplinary, international team of twenty experienced senior data science associates and (senior) scientists with deep knowledge of immunology and antibody development, with the goal of developing new, groundbreaking antibody therapeutics for cancer and immune diseases. We apply advanced data analysis methods, leveraging both in-house generated and publicly available data, to help develop and improve our therapeutics. Projects involve applying computational biology approaches/omics data analyses to facilitate target discovery and product discovery.Genmab places a high value on new, transformational data-science approaches to enhance our drug discovery and development efforts. As a Senior Data Science Associate in the Discovery Data Science department, you will make an impact on the development of ground-breaking new medicines to serve patients with unmet medical needs. In addition, as a fully integrated biotech company, Genmab will give you the chance to experience drug development from discovery to translation into the clinic.ResponsibilitiesYou will work closely with data scientists and wet-lab scientists to curate and analyze experimental data.You perform advanced data analysis of public and internal omics data in close collaboration with a senior data scientist. You will work independently at the task level, while benefiting from guidance at the project level.You translate findings into insights by generating compelling visualizations for reports and presentations.You communicate your findings to colleagues with a diverse scientific background.You participate in scientific discussions and share your ideas based on your expertise.You provide biological interpretations of your results to teams with diverse scientific backgrounds.RequirementsYou hold a MSc degree (or BSc + multiple years of experience) in bioinformatics, genomics, immunology, life sciences or related fields.You have 0-2 years' experience in a comparable role, preferably in industry.You code proficiently in R or Python.You are familiar with version control system such as Git.You have experience in omics data analysis (such as bulk or single- cell RNAseq).You have basic knowledge on cancer biology, genomics or immunology.You are an enthusiastic, creative, goal orientated, pro-active and out-of-the-box thinker with a strong ability to work collaboratively.You are a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with great command of English, written and spoken.You can work 32-40 hours/week and approx. 2-3 days per week at our offices in Utrecht.About You
