Position Title: 3PL Operations LeadPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time ​Position Location: Several locationsRequisition ID: 37642As 3PL Operations Lead you oversee all external warehouse & logistics operations related to the appetizer business (Van Geloven and McCain Appetizers Europe).This role covers all managed logistics activities carried out by our external service providers – covering a total volume of approximately 30,000 to 40,000 pallets (finished good product), with an estimated annual spend of around €17,5 million.Performance in this area has a significant impact on total Supply Chain operating costs, Continuous Improvement initiatives, and customer service level targets. Through effective management of this scope, this role will ensure external service providers meet safety and quality standards and deliver best-in-class performance. This role will also be responsible for pallet projections and negotiating capacity requirements with service providers, ensuring alignment with existing SLAs, agreements, and contracts.Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and optimize SLA between external Service provider, customer service and logistics and ensure compliance
  • Follow up on stock projections to ensure adequate storage capacity availability
  • First line contact in case of freight & storage tender or price negotiations to serve procurement evaluate on annual base the performance
  • Set up and chair monthly meeting with 3PL in order to evaluate performance (delivery + cost + projects)
  • First line business contact towards 3PL providers
  • Ensure that the linked ERP systems (EDI) are operational) and procedures operate in normal way to ensure regular and predictable performance of stock and logistics operations
  • Empty pallets management : requirements, supply, repair, stock management, debt management
  • Liaise with Appetizer sites on quantity and quality of inbound deliveries
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy of finished products (cycle counting, system update & improvement) at 3PL
  • Proactive in optimization projects
  • Control on a monthly basis freight & storage costs and support Supply Planning & Logistics Director for the budget exercise
  • Analyze deviation and propose corrective action plan in relation with cost controllers
  • Initiate, deploy and implement Continuous Improvement to deliver on annual targets.
  • Invoices control/approval
  • Develop a continuous improvement culture in the Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Apps team
  • Deploy McCain leadership model within the Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Apps team
Qualifications:
  • Experienced in supply chain, ideally FMCG & Logistics
  • Experienced in process improvement
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with SAP and / or PowerBI is preferred
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Tech Savvy mindset
Flexibility in (domestic) travelling is required for this position. You can work from one of the manufacturing plants (Rilland, Kruiningen, Tilburg, Maastricht and Helmond). You will also be visiting our 3PLs on frequent basis (Herk-de-Stad (B), Boxmeer or Kruiningen).
