This role places you at the heart of refinery operations, where geographic information systems are essential to efficiency, safety, and decision-making. You’ll work closely with operational teams on-site, ensuring GIS applications and data are accurate, accessible, and delivering value where it matters most.This is a chance to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced, high-impact industrial environment — where your work will directly support the safe and efficient running of a major facility.As a GIS Analyst, you will:
  • Manage, analyse, and visualise geospatial data to support E&P and operational projects.
  • Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data integrity and quality control.
  • Produce detailed maps and visualisations that simplify and communicate complex data.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to project and operations teams on GIS-related matters.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other specialists to integrate GIS into wider project frameworks.
  • Keep up to date with emerging GIS technologies, tools, and best practices to introduce innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Strong background in GIS technology and spatial analysis, ideally within Oil & Gas, refining, or other industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency in GIS software, particularly ArcGIS Pro, with experience creating and managing geospatial data.
  • Knowledge of asset management systems and integrating GIS with operational data.
  • Familiarity with database management systems such as SQL and/or PostgreSQL.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to turn complex geospatial datasets into clear, actionable insights.
  • Confident communicator with experience training and supporting end-users in GIS applications.
  • Language requirement: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
