It consists of three domains:
  • Enrolment & Access, including fraud prevention
  • Payments
  • Digital Wallets
The product is part of the global digital tribe, which is responsible for various aspects of the ING mobile banking app. Our squads develop and maintain mobile front- and backend applications, continuously aiming to exceed expectations of our app users across the countries we service.Together, we manage and deliver globally scalable features such as mobile app enrolment, Check het Gesprek, Apple & Google Pay, the upcoming WERO initiative, card management, Money Transfer, and more. Our product includes 7 teams responsible for native mobile front-end development and, in some cases, backend(-for-frontend) APIs.What will you doAs Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading strategic, cross-team and cross-tribe initiatives, all related to Payments & Trust. You will drive projects from discovery to implementation, ensuring alignment, clarity, and delivery.Key responsibilities include:
  • Explore and assess potential opportunities before formal project initiation, including gathering consumer input and evaluating strategic relevance
  • Lead the discovery phase of initiatives to define problem spaces, validate needs, and shape direction
  • Set up and coordinate large-scale strategic projects (e.g. App2App, Money Transfer Wizard migration, Dream Payments, Payment Activity Center)
  • Define scope, governance, and roadmap (including milestones)
  • Identify and manage dependencies across teams and tribes
  • Engage and align stakeholders across business and IT
  • Escalate impediments and support decision-making
  • Ensure timely delivery and measurable outcomes
  • Lead smaller product-related initiatives and events (e.g. Product Day offsites, productization plans, contributions to tribe initiatives such as start screen and subscription manager, OHI improvements)
You will be embedded in the Payments & Trust product and work closely with the Product Lead to align on (strategic) priorities, project progress, and which initiatives to take on. You’ll collaborate intensively with the Customer Journey Experts and teams within the product that are directly linked to these initiatives.In addition, you’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders across ING, both within and outside the tribe, business and IT. This includes other tribes such as Payments, Fraud, R&BT, and Risk, in all OneApp countries (Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, Germany, Italy, Australia, etc.).What will you bring
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and/or change management
  • Proven track record in delivering customer-facing (digital) products, ideally in mobile app environments
  • Strong ability to connect vision, people, and execution with enthusiasm
  • Experience working in complex, international environments
  • Solid understanding of business-to-IT delivery; experienced to work closely with developers and technical teams
  • Knowledge of digital channels, payments, and/or fraud prevention is a strong plus
  • Proactive, self-driven, and decisive
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and product needs
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
